Two Points
1) Global Cairene has some wonderful images of Dubai. Check them out.
The timing works great for me because I have my own personal reason for feeling especially sentimental about Dubai these days.
2) With references to some of the comments on my post about female sexuality, several people responded that physical attractiveness is relative. I agree completely. It depends on individual taste more than anything. My girlfriends & I often disagree on which guy is attractive why. Am sure it's the same for men too.
So here's a question for anyone who wishes to participate, would you say you have a 'type'?What do you normally find physically attractive? Is it always the same thing(s)?
UPDATE: Just realized that I didn't mention my type. I apologize. I should have answered the question first before asking others to. Not really sure whether a married woman should be talking about having a type. But will do it anyway. Don't think he'll mind because he's most definitely my type.:)
Turn-ons:
1) Tall(as in taller than me).
2) Broad-shouldered. Shoulders are the first thing I notice.
3) Black/dark brown eyes with very dark lashes & eyebrows.
4) Good teeth. Translation: nice smile.
5) Sharp features.
6) Some facial hair. I don't mean a muttawa beard. But a mustache is nice & a bit of beard.
Friends tell me I go for Mediterranean types. Tall, dark, intense-looking & hairy. But I don't think that only applies to Mediterranean men.

Well, I used to have a type..u know...tall...broad-shouldered...mascular guys..but for a reason...my last 2 crushes...were on short...bald guys..grrr "I hate that" ;D

Well, I was only ever interested in two guys...they both had 7'amry skin, hazel eyes, played tennis, and were both leos..

well i 'd like to add to ur list, which is of course mine, that i also like shaved heads and chest hair.
I like all the usual things, tall, nice eyes e.t.c but I have one strange quirk: I like guys who look like they have slightly too many teeth. I don't why, it just adds something to their smile and I'm crazy about a nice smile.

Shaved heads?Hmm...Never really thought about it. I don't think I notice hair much. He can be bald or have a ponytail or dreadlocks - whatever. But yeah chest hair. Like I said hairy.:)
Not everyone's type. We just have the same taste you & I. My girlfriends say that all my crushes look like they're very closely related - twins for example. Which is freaky actually. They would keep telling me to break the mould - that am limiting myself etc...
Once my aunt wanted to set me up with this guy back home in Casa. She kept saying how good-looking he was. When I went to her office to get a glimpse of him, well he WAS good-looking. I couldn't deny it. But he was blond, with green eyes & a smooth, round face. And he had dimples. So I was standing there looking at him thinking he's so cute & feeling totally put off. Guess I don't go in for 'cute' much. Or dimples.
I just really like the combination of dark eyes, thick lashes & thick eyebrows on men. It does something to the whole facial expression. Whenever I see it on a guy I get this sense of recognition.
Do you think it's a psychological complex?I mean my Dad is so blond. And he has blue eyes. Could this have something to do with why I don't get attracted to blond guys or guys with colored eyes?
Two of my brothers are kind of blondish too - which probably didn't improve the situation.

I like "Mediterranean" types too! But that generally means petite, to me, as I don't really consider people from the Mediterranean areas to be tall! But in my case, I'm referring more to Italian and Spanish women. Which is lucky for me because here in the US we have plenty of people from both ethnicities :D
I don't really know that much about other Med/ME types. I find Iranian and Arab women very attractive too, I just haven't met any socially. I meet a bunch at work but they're all married :O

I have really had such VARIED crushes..with no specific pattern... but i d say the one thing that really gets me is WATERY EYES...they just create this magical dreamy effect! its so good to look at them
My crushes were not following a specific pattern...but they were all physically 'attractive' types ....and tall :)
So my choice would be :
(1) fit as in muscles
(2) nice hair
(3) nice butt
(4) long legs
and that's only the physical part ...

I'm about 5'8" if you don't count my hair. I'm considered quite tall. Taller than most people I know here because both GCC Arabs & Asians are not very tall. When I personally say tall I mean over 6'0" because he's got to be taller than me in high heels right?My husband is 6'2".

Nice to see you blogging again. I think you're like me in that good physique is essential. Except you focus on the lower body more & I focus on the upper body(shoulders, arms) more. Hair is not an issue for me really. And facial expression(eyes & smile) doesn't seem to count with you.:)

You'd be tall for a woman in the US as well. I think average female height is 5'6" here.

Your hubby is well over male average height in the US as well. My Dad is 6'3" and my Brother is 6'6" - but I'm only 5'11" which is still taller than average in the US. But I'm the shortest guy in my family by quite a bit. Not sure how that worked out :O

My ex-wife (who is chinese) always used to ask me why so many white guys were with asian girls, but she never saw white women with asian guys. I think you just pinpointed the reason... women are really uncomforatble with a guy who is smaller than they are :)

Yeah, I agree... and also the personality - Mediterranean people seem to be a lot more hot blooded than European types. At least, that's been my obervation of the women.

You bet! Which is lucky for me since I spent several years of my life when I was a young guy in various parts of Asia. Also, I was married to an Asian woman for about 10 years. I do like petite women, but that's not really a big issue for me. It's mainly the dark coloration and the olive/tan complexion that I find attractive. And the facial features and personality too, of course. I guess I'm "off type" as well. I have kinda dark blond hair and blue eyes. I've never found my own type that appealing.

I'm surprised to hear that the average height for a woman in the States is 5'6". My impression was that both Caucasian & African Americans generally are pretty big people. Which is why I had an awful lot of crushes over there I guess.:)
I was also surprised to find that Americans with those dark, smouldering looks are not always of Mediterranean origin like I thought at first. One of my biggest crushes was an Irish American even though when I first saw him I thought he must be an Arab. Another one - also very dark - had a clearly Scottish surname. And he assured me he had no Italian/Spanish blood at all. He thought he might have a bit of Native American blood though.
Americans are so mixed it's hard to tell actually. That's why I said I don't think it only applies to Mediterranean men.
Then again it's not only Americans. My father - who is supposed to be as authentic an Arab as they come - is so blond that over here he's often mistaken for a Russian. Courtesy of a French mother with some Russian & Polish ancestry.

The average heights are for all Americans, so they inlude Italians, Hispanics, Northern Europeans, African Americans, etc. I don't know if it's ever been broken down by ethnicty.
Yes, Gaels are dark. And usually very attractive people. Gaelic people would be the Scottish and the Welsh. The Irish are generally Celtic and favor freckles and red hair pretty commonly, but there are dark Irish too. Catherine Zeta Jones is a good example of a welsh woman, in my opinion :)
Slavs are also dark... that's mostly eastern europeans. I still like Mediterranean types best though.

I like high heels. Don't wear them often though cos you can't walk in them. Especially not when you walk as fast as me. And besides wearing them a lot damages your back I heard.

its like when they look like they re tearing.... or about to cry... but the diff is they look like this 24/7!
and i even recently read that ppl with watery eyes r good in bed!
