Conversation Overheard

X: It's time. I must go.
Y: Aha. Because your wife is not here. Otherwise you sit around for hours and you don't want to go home.
X: No, no.
Z: We stay. Our wives are home. We have nowhere to go.

Oh no!How depressing to hear when you're about to get married.:(

If others do not have a relationship that gives meaning to their lives, that does not mean it will be the same with your marriage! Cheer up!

I agree, somewhat disheartening to hear that. Not every marriage is like that...perhaps they were in trouble with their wives and were hoping to wait out their anger? Keep heart, Lou Lou.

rehaam,

"but I'm sure they weren't representing their entire relationships with their spouses."

I hope not. How miserable.

Nightlegend,

K laughed too when I told him. I guess there's humor in it that only men can see me. For me it was scary.:(

"All the best."

Thanks. To you too. Hope you enjoy the new job until you find something much better ISA.

Kayla,

"that does not mean it will be the same with your marriage! Cheer up!"

Yes but they must have been in love once too or they wouldn't be married. It's hard not to feel curious about what could have gone wrong.

I mean it's not one. It's THREE of them. So you start to ask yourself what percentage of marriages are actually happy ones.

Jane,

"Keep heart, Lou Lou."

Thanks. Am over it by now. It was just disheartening for a while like you said.

actually this is funny. men sometimes like to do that (at least egyptian men i know), they think it is not manly to say that they want to spend time with their wives. it is all macho and stuff to prefer to spend time with the "guys".

but alot of them actually are not really like that in real life. it is just a game they play. haga ghareeba giddan. rabbena yehdeehom.

Lou, there are always different reasons for people's actions, marriage included! If they were as much in love as you guys are, then they probably did not mean what they said, they were just being macho. if they meant it, they either were not inlove that much, or they were idiot enough to forget they were!
